Content Projects Needed!

As you know, MuseWorks is not just this message board.  It's also the website, which is all set to host some collaborative projects by our members.  Which presents a problem, since right now we don't have a lot of members...  I know there's talent out there itching to work, we just need to bring it all together.  If anyone would like to participate in a project, but no one can come up with ideas, hey like I've been saying, I profess myself as a professional creative consultant, and I'm sure I could think of something for you.  Here are some content ideas for collaborative projects to get the creative ball rolling:

• Comic: In either strip or book form.  Needs writers and artists.  Could also use inkers, colourists, or letterers.
• Flash cartoon/game: Any length.  Needs writers, artists, and animators.  Could also use voice talent, special effects technicians, sound effects, and background music.
• Illustrated story: Any length.  Needs writers and artists.  (Or just a collaborative fiction project; no artists needed.)
• Role-play setting: Needs writers and lots of ideas.  End result would be a 'sourcebook' describing an area for use in online role-play on the site.
• Game Modifcation: modifications to a computer game (Neverwinter Nights, Half-Life, et cetera).  Needs anything from map makers and texture editors to voice actors and animators, depending on the size of the project.  Obviously a large undertaking, but if someone out there wants to get a project like this done, hosting would be provided on this site for the finished project.

Obviously I'm just running through everything that requires more than one person (obviously someone could double-task more than one of the talents listed above, but any of those would be considered 'projects' that are worthy of hosting here).  Hopefully that's gotten some of you thinking of ideas.  If you're able to do any of those responsibilities listed and would be willing to participate in a group project, post here and start handing out your creative resume.

Not too long ago, as some of you already know, I started exploring the boundaries of Anime.  It's been a while since I updated the project as I'm pushing my full capacity on the latest trial.  It should be finished within the next, I'd say week at the most.  Anyhow, It's got me leaning towards the possibility of a comic, probably a Sci Fi flick of sorts.  I can design a decent charachter, and a decent storyline (relax 'Pode, the "Terror Fanfic Project" was simply an experiment), but I'm not the fastest pencil on earth.  However unfortunately, I'm absolutely lousy with frame placement and usage.

I'm just throwin' this out here to try and get the ball rolling on something.  Unfortunately I've not got loads of time to devote here.  Trigonometry and Basic Electronics 1, demand a lot of my mental stamina.

  So, are you saying that you're recruiting help in a sort of pre-development for a project? If that's the case, you should start your own topic, specifying what sort of talents you're looking for (IE: Cartoonists, Story writers, etc.). At any rate, I've been looking to apply myself to any open projects... go ahead and talk to me when you have a grasp of what you want, exactly.

At this stage I might add that I'll almost certainly be looking for a game mod or design team over the Summer. I've a lot of time to make a portfolio then, and it could be fun to get something going here. I'll make a topic when that comes about though - I still have eight weeks of tutoring and assignments to get through.

If anyone needs it i can write, do alot with music, and if they need any ideas or creative input, i can do that. Plus i have more time than i know what to do with. If you need pictures of anything for any reason, im good at that to.

I would love to contribute things to CP. I like to work on projects and do things to benefit others. In the long run, it makes me feel accomplished and good about myself knowing that I can be useful to others. Well, here it goes...

Comic
If I can find an artist willing to draw out Crimson Moon, I would love to collaborate with them and make a comic based off of my story. See Crimson Moon - The Prologue if you are an artist and might be interested

Flash Cartoon/Game
What I think would be great for you guys is if the administrator selects some core members that he would like to have in a character select screen, and I could be given a picture for every character and a voice clip to go with the picture for when you select the character. From the character select screen, when you select a character, the screen would shift into a bio of the person and also list their status on the board, their awards, and an major accomplishments they have done for the website.

If anyone wishes to do a cartoon or game, I am willing to submit my voice, which I can change for multiple characters, as well as any sound effects and I can get my hands on.

Illustrated Story
I am a writer. I am going to start writing Crimson Moon. If someone would like to illustrate it, so be it, but I am not good at drawing.

Role-Play Setting
You tell me what goes where, and I can create a source book, though honestly I think the CPWiki defeats the purpose and eliminates the necessity of a source book for any role play. If there is something you don't know about, CPWiki it!

Game Modification
Give me the proper software, and I'll make you some things. However, I am not good at CG. If CG is required, I will need assistance. Once I can understand a program, I am willing to do all the programming and the like that is needed. I also love voice acting.

Wow, that would be so awsome to do!! I wish I could but I think my hands are tied with this current project. >.> Unless I can speak with my current team and find out if they're willing to do something like this with the new anime project since it's a little more up this board's alleyway (just judging by the roleplays I see here).

If it won't be a bother, I'll get more information once I confirm it with the team. I just feel like I owe this board some excitement due to my long absence (not like it mattered either way XD).

  As a sidenote, theZ and I officially got down to business yesterday/tonight on the new Anime Project. We've established our setting, conflicts, and characters, and have begun our drafts of character motifs and designs.

  Thus far, we have two main female leads; Adel, a short-range pistol-toting whirlwind, and Andie, a playful long-distance sniper with a HUGE rifle. We also have started some supporting characters.

  We're going to start it out like Lavitz, as a hand-drawn comic which theZ and I will both have a hand in illustrating, and gradually progress into animation, as the extra hands (and programs) become available.

If you want to do something a little halfway between comic and cartoon, may I suggest a visual novel?  From what I understand, this Blade Engine is really easy to use, and it would give you a good medium to play in.

I've got a timer program developed that has an anime background (nothing special, but hey it's something).  As soon as I get the kinks worked out of moving it's installer file from place to place I'll be happy to add it to CP's inventory of projects.

As far as the game programming well, I'm working my way up as it were, and starting with Basic, then we'll move to C++, and then I'll play with the Torque engine again.
